Recycle and thrive!

Media projects

Format: video

Countries: Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan

The media project “Recycle and thrive!” (the Russian name is a pun on “Divide and conquer”) resulted in a film about recycling in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. This film on waste sorting and recycling is a pilot product of the media project team, which aims to establish communication between the people, the state environmental organisations and the companies involved in recycling and waste disposal. In addition, an online platform was developed that will be used in the future to host and promote various eco-initiatives of the Central Asian countries.

The work was carried out by Malika Musaeva (Uzbekistan), Karina Gaberkorn (Kyrgyzstan), Barno Ikramova (Uzbekistan) and Abror Kurbonmuratov (Uzbekistan). Gulnara Mansurova (from Anhor.uz) was the mentor of the media project.

The team documented everything in the following short film. Have a look behind the scenes!
